CFS from a Developer’s Perspective

Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 5 pm to 8 pm

Houlihan’s, Columbia/Elkridge, Maryland

1 Engineering PDH Credit

Our dinner meeting is the best place in the Northern Virginia, Washington and Baltimore region to network with people in the cold-formed steel industry: Contractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and designers are always part of the mix.  Our dinners provide you the opportunity to:

  • Network with industry colleagues during our cocktail hour.
  • Learn about important industry topics (many of which include continuing education credits) from various industry experts.

Agenda Highlights

Midrise ConstructionFor years, MASFA has brought you many speakers and covered many topics in our dinner seminar series. But, we have never once brought you the perspective of the one entity that drives our whole industry, the owner/developer. These are the people that need to recognize the benefits of CFS framing and want to use it on their projects. And we, the members of MASFA, need to understand how they see CFS framing, both the good and the bad. We are pleased to have Mr. Kevin Ash, a successful local developer, who also is a huge proponent of CFS framing, come speak to us about his many projects in the mid-Atlantic region and what he sees as the benefits of, and barriers to, the use of CFS framing in mid-rise load bearing framing. By seeing a developer’s perspective, we can hopefully learn valuable information to help continue the growth of CFS framing in our backyard.
